What does Rentenbescheid mean?

In the Rentenbescheid (pension notice), the Rentenversicherung tells you whether you get a pension and how much.

It states the amount, the start and how the pension was calculated. The calculation is often many pages in the enclosures.

Check the insurance record. If periods are missing, for example raising children or work abroad, the pension can be too low.

You can file a Widerspruch against the pension notice. The deadline is in the Rechtsbehelfsbelehrung.

If the pension is very low, ask about Grundsicherung or Wohngeld.
