What does Arbeitsuchendmeldung mean?
Arbeitsuchendmeldung (registering as a jobseeker) tells the Agentur für Arbeit early that your job will end soon. It is compulsory.

Register as soon as you know that your job will end. The law gives you only a short time for this.
This also applies to a fixed-term contract and if you resigned yourself. You can register online, by phone or in person.
If you register too late, a Sperrzeit can follow. Then you get no Arbeitslosengeld for a while.
