What does Aufhebungsbescheid mean?
With an Aufhebungsbescheid (cancellation notice), an office withdraws an earlier decision in full or in part.

It is often about a benefit you received. The office thinks you were not entitled to the money, or not to all of it.
The office then often wants money back. This is in an Erstattungsbescheid, sometimes in the same letter.
Before that, the office usually has to give you a chance to respond (Anhörung). You can then explain why the benefit was right.
If you disagree, you can file a Widerspruch. The deadline is in the Rechtsbehelfsbelehrung.

Die Entscheidung über die Bewilligung von Leistungen wird ab dem 01.08.2026 ganz aufgehoben.
The decision granting benefits is cancelled in full from 01.08.2026.
