What does Fahrverbot mean?
A Fahrverbot (driving ban) means you may not drive a car or any other motor vehicle for a while.

It usually comes with a Bußgeldbescheid (fine notice), for example after serious speeding. It often lasts one to three months.
For this time, you hand in your driving licence to the authority. The ban often only runs once the licence is there.
Sometimes you may choose when it starts. The Bescheid then says so.
