What does Meldeversäumnis mean?
A Meldeversäumnis (missed appointment) means you did not come to an appointment at the Jobcenter or the Agentur für Arbeit.

If you had no important reason, the Jobcenter can reduce your benefit. The Agentur für Arbeit can impose a Sperrzeit (benefit block).
Since July 2026: if you miss three appointments in a row, your entitlement can end completely. This lasts until you go to the Jobcenter in person.
An important reason can be, for example, an illness. But a sick note alone is not always enough.
You usually get an Anhörung (a chance to respond) first. Explain in it why you could not come, and enclose proof.
