What does Vorschuss mean?
A Vorschuss (advance) is money an office pays in advance when it has not yet fully decided on your application.

This is possible if it is clear that you are entitled to money, but the exact amount is still missing. You usually have to ask for it.
The advance is later set off against the correct benefit.
If the advance was too high, you usually have to pay back the rest.
