What does Rückforderung mean?
A Rückforderung (claim for repayment) means an office or a company wants back money that you received.

For social benefits, the office usually sends an Erstattungsbescheid for this. Before that, it often sends you an Anhörung (a chance to respond).
Check for which period and why the money is being reclaimed. It is often about income, or a change that was reported too late.

If it is right but you cannot pay everything, ask for a Ratenzahlung (instalments).
