What does Urteil mean?
An Urteil (judgment) is a court's decision at the end of proceedings, usually after a hearing.
das Urteil · die Urteile (plural)
The judgment says who won and what applies now. It often also says who pays the costs.
There is often a remedy against a judgment, for example an appeal (Berufung). Whether, and by when, is in the Rechtsmittelbelehrung at the end.
Once a judgment is final, it usually cannot be changed any more. It can then be enforced.
